Cactus Juice Pub

Budapest Cactus Juice Pub

A pub, restaurant and club in the shabby basement with American westerns-style interior. Over 50 types of whisky and international cuisine of quite decent quality. In the night the place turns into a party space with DJs playing the good old party music.

VI. Jókai tér 5

Merlin

International theatre, cultural scene, restaurant and club. This is where the happenings happen, be it a jazz concert or fashion show, electronic party or theatrical performance. Popular hangout for young artists and art types. Happy hour every day from 17:00 to 22:00. Prices depend on the event.

V. Gerlóczy utca 4

Gödör Klub

Nightclub, art gallery, music lounge, outdoor movie theater. This space under the square in the heart of Budapest offers variety of events from rock to folk concerts, from art and theatrical performances to modern dance shows. Prices depend on the event.

V. Erzsébet tér

Csendes Bar

Csendes (Silent) is the new kid on the block that takes its name from the grand restaurant that used to be in this space many years ago.

In addition to the name the place preserved also two imposing columns that are the focus of this abundantly decorated space. Indeed, you may spent hours just examining all the interior details of the bar, big and small, the objects and pieces of arts covering the walls and hanging from the ceiling.

Le Jardin de Paris

Budapest. Le Jardin de Paris
Located in a small, early nineteenth-century building, Le Jardin de Paris is a cosy cellar thoughtfully decorated with the posters, lithographs and pictures. It has a feel of '70s-style French bistro and offers a variety of French specialties, including some game dishes and excellent desserts. Its wine list is French too, with some eclectic touches.

Jelen Bar

Budapest. Jelen

Recently opened Jelen, a nice addition to the Budapest nightclub and bar scene, is quickly gaining popularity among both locals and travelers by word of mouth alone.

This spacious bar subtly decorated with arty posters opens every day at 4 pm, just when you are almost done with your job and errands and ready to have a pint.

Fecske Terrace

CLOSED This kert (open-air bar) is a huge terrace with a spectacular view of the Danube, Margit Island, and the pool, that offers good service, nice food at reasonable prices and music by a DJ. Relaxing and energizing atmosphere. Deck-chair for sunbathing and great lemonade.

II. Árpád fejedelem útja 8
(terrace on the top of Császár-Komjádi pool)

Jedermann

Budapest. Jedermann

Having changed its owners and the name from Eckermann to Jedermann, this cafe by the Goethe Institute still remains a hub for many German speaking expats who come here to read newspapers and magazines, have a lunch or a cup of coffee. The food is inexpensive, the cafe is quiet enough in the daytime to work with your laptop and crowded enough in the evening to have a drink with your friends.

IX. Ráday utca 58

Bukhara Bar

Budapest. Bukhara Bar

National Uzbek cuisine and hospitality in Buda. Main courses are 2000 to 3000 forints.

II. Ördögárok u. 174

Chili Bar

Budapest. Chili Bar

We tried their Quesadilla and Chili con carne, and these were very good. They also served it with a smile and fast. The other good thing about the place is moderate prices. That's probably best place next to Raday.
