Transport: Rent A Car

Rent A Car

Budapest. Rent a Car

To rent a car in Budapest you may choose either local or international company, but please remember than most companies require drivers to be 21 years of age or older and all of them require that you pay a deposit from 200 to 1500 Euros either by card or in cash. The rental prices vary from 45 to 140 Euros, depending on the company and car you rent.

You may find driving in Budapest somewhat complicated due to mediocre condition of roads and lack of road signs. The drivers' blood-alcohol level should be 0,00%. Speed limits are 130 km/h on motorways, 110 km/h on dual carriageways, 90 km/h on other roads and 50 km/h in residential areas. When driving on paid motorways in Hungary you need to purchase a “vignette” from a petrol station.
