Gerlóczy Kávéház

Budapest Gerlóczy Kávéház

Quiet restaurant in the quiet downtown square. The prices are average, and the waiters speak English. The point of difference though is the opening hours – it is one of the rare places in the center of Budapest where you can have breakfast. Among other advantages are their many varieties of daily menus and desserts. The turnoff is the annoying reminders from the waiters that "service is not included".

V. Gerlóczy utca 1

E-klub

Disco in the best traditions of EuroPopDance. Four bars, VIP garden section, two dance floors, stage and pizza corner. Foam parties on summer Tuesdays.
The big disadvantage is the club location, it’s just too "far from the madding crowd".
Tickets: 1200 forints, free for women.

Szimpla Kert

Summer beer garden in the inner yard of the old building. It is exquisitely shabby and full of graffiti art. It is the true spirit of young hipster Budapest. It is loved by people in the 20s and 30s. Movies, concerts and performances on some nights.
