Fecske is an arty café/bar which we consider a good alternative to posh restaurants and low-life drinking holes as it is somewhere in the middle between both. Here you can have good food at reasonable prices (we recommend duck breast with rice and seeds) or enjoy booze night with your buddies in homely atmosphere. They have music programs on some weekends.

Little arty cafe in the Jewish district of Budapest with creative décor of kitchen utensils that was called "stone soup" after an old folk tale. They offer mostly Jewish specialties with Hungarian bits, and inexpensive daily menu. Jazz concerts every Tuesday at 21:00.

Café located next to the Law University. They offer about 10 types of breakfast menu till noon, and breakfast all day long, weekly specials, and good milkshakes made of fresh fruit. Cafe ALibi is also known for their home-made pies. Food is quite simple, but prices are reasonable too. Quite big non-smoking zone and young crowd. Note that service is included in the bill.
