There are many types of trams in Budapest, including the fifty-year-old ones that run on both sides of the Danube and city bridges, and the high-tech Siemens serving the city ring, that happens to be the longest tram in Europe.
Tickets are purchased in advance and validated in the electronic or hand punchers on board. Tickets are available at newsstands, some tobacco shops, ticket offices in metro stations and BKV vending machines.
For tram schedules go to BKV site.
See schedule at BKV.
