Shops: Antiques, Design, Souvenirs

This section contains extensive list of shops in Budapest that offer antiques, gifts, souvenirs, art and design pieces, including the ones for your home.

Please note, that antiques that are more than 50 years old require a permission from Cultural Inheritance Office to leave the country. Prior to obtaining such permission you have to have the antique valuated by an expert, and you must bring either antique itself or five photos of it. Cost of the valuation is usually a percentage of antique’s price. It may take up to three weeks to valuate the antique and get the permission.
