Nightlife in Budapest is as diverse as the city itself. Budapest dance scene is gaining popularity among star DJs who come to play in trendy “westernized” clubs, and there are all kinds of pubs and bars from hangouts for local students to salsa or jazz club.

Budapest. 400

Named 400 by its area in square meters, this Serbian bar is a lovely quiet spot in the day time, and a popular party scene at nights. 400 serves Serbian specialties from a Serbian chef, offers reasonable prices, live concerts/DJs and a screen for football addicts. And it is big enough to house folks of every stripe and color.

VII. Kazinczy utca 52/b

A38 is the former Ukrainian barge Artemovsk 38, which became after reconstruction one of the coolest clubs in Budapest.

On the deck there is a restaurant and a terrace (closed in winter), and in the hold there is a dance floor. A38 is a venue for designers, artists and open-minded persons. Definitely worth visiting despite the above average prices.

Dance floor with R’n’B, house and funky music. A disco for grownups (no entry for those below 21). International parties once a month or so. VIP section upstairs. Entrance fee depends on the program.
