Bars in Budapest are places that serve all kinds of drinks, spirits and beverages and sometimes light snacks, such as sandwiches, peanuts or chips.
Budapest bars are popular hangouts and low-budget way to socialize for students, art types and intellectuals. Because the majority of bars in Budapest have now free wi-fi, many people come here not to drink only, but to work too.
It is still allowed to smoke in Budapest bars, though more and more of them are expanding now their non-smoking areas.

Csendes Bar

Csendes (Silent) is the new kid on the block that takes its name from the grand restaurant that used to be in this space many years ago.

In addition to the name the place preserved also two imposing columns that are the focus of this abundantly decorated space. Indeed, you may spent hours just examining all the interior details of the bar, big and small, the objects and pieces of arts covering the walls and hanging from the ceiling.
