Budapest. Near Erzsébet Bridge

Erzsébet Bridge or Elisabeth Bridge is the second newest bridge of Budapest, connecting Buda and Pest across the Danube. It is named after Queen Elisabeth, queen and empress of Austria-Hungary assassinated in 1898.

It was newly built after the WWII bombings only in 1964, when the government finally could afford the construction.

On the Pest side lays Március 15 Square with the most ancient church of Budapest, and the Buda end of the bridge runs into the foot of Gellért Hill with the statue of St. Gellért.
