Budapest Parade’05

The idea for the Budapest Parade organized by the same company responsible for summer Sziget Festival was based on the Berlin Love Parade. From 2000 Budapest Parade is held annually and number of its participants is growing each year.

The event per se is a free street carnival, and the procession of about 600 thousand people (as it was last year) parades through the streets of Budapest together with about 50 stages-on-wheels occupied by singers, musicians, circus performers, actors and dancers.

The parade usually ends in fireworks and after-parties organized all over the town by clubs and discos.

This year Budapest Parade will be held on 27 August on Andrássy út and Hősök teré, starting from 14:00.
